Trading Local: Theatre in Shops (2013)

TRADING LOCAL THEATRE IN SHOPS was performed in the independent businesses of Bedminster, Bristol in January, February and March 2013.
It was produced by Show of Strength Theatre Company, and directed by Ed Viney.

 Gerard performs TOO CONVENIENT by Gary Sugden for Mary Portas' visit to Bedminster on February 8th 2013.

Gerard appeared in MYSTERY SHOPPER by Darrin Jones and TOO CONVENIENT by Gary Sugden.

Bedminster is one of twelve 'Portas Pilot Towns' which have been helped to rejuvenate their shopping areas with ideas put forward by retail expert and television personality Mary Portas, and government funding of £1.2 million. Mary Portas visited Bedminster in February 2013 (see video above) and saw first-hand the theatre-in-shops which helps to bring independent businesses to life.
